Drug Discovery and Development Symposium

This day long symposium will provide an opportunity for investigators to share their latest research in target identification, hit identification and lead optimisation in the development of novel therapeutics.


The majority of the symposium program will be selected from submitted abstracts providing a great opportunity for researchers to share exciting techniques and developments and showcase their research progress across a range of themes including target identification, strategies for hit generation, hit-to-lead, lead optimisation and clinical development.

The symposium will feature:

  • A shared symposium session with Lorne Proteins including keynote speakers Wayne Fairbrother and Margaret Brimble
  • Two specialized breakout sessions with lots of opportunities for abstract talks
  • Poster Preview Talks
  • A Poster Session
  • Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon coffee.
  • Entry to the Lorne Proteins Special Evening Lecture, provisionally scheduled to be given by 2018 Chemistry Nobel Laureate Frances Arnold.

Oral abstracts for the main meeting have closed. Oral abstracts for the Drug Design and Development Symposium are open until Nov 23rd

Abstract submissions for posters will close on Jan 11th 2018
