Dr. Raquel Lieberman

Dr. Lieberman is the Sepcic-Pfeil Professor of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Georgia Tech where she has been a faculty member since 2008. Dr. Lieberman graduated from MIT with a BSc degree in Chemistry and obtained her PhD in Chemistry from Northwestern University. Her research program focuses on biophysical and structural characterization of proteins and the impact of disease-associated mutations on function or dysfunction like aggregation. Dr. Lieberman has been recognized in numerous capacities including Pew Scholar in Biomedical Sciences, American Federation for Aging Research New Investigator Award in Alzheimer Disease, NSF CAREER Award, American Chemical Society Nobel Laureate Signature Award for Graduate Education in Chemistry and a NIH Postdoctoral Research Fellowship.
